THE EXUMA - A TRUE PARADISE

Coral beaches and aquamarine water, history and exotic wildlife. If you are in search of paradise, you will enjoy a blissfully tranquil voyage through the breathtaking Exumas on board our catamaran.

Located in the southern Bahamas, the Exumas are made up of 365 stunning islands and pristine cays strung out like jewelled stepping stones across more than 120 miles of shimmering emerald ocean. The bright white sand of the deserted beaches contrasts strikingly with the deep aquamarine and jade hues of the water, making this location one of the prettiest in the Bahamas. These islands are the ultimate dream escape and they host exclusive resorts attracting the world's most famous stars.

The Exumas have a rich history. Over time, they have gone through many changes: from a salt-mining colony, to a haven for pirates, to a cotton-producing colony, and each has influenced its historical development. Most of Exuma's 3,600 residents live on Great Exuma or Little Exuma, the two largest islands, which are connected by a short bridge. Nowadays the friendly people of the Exumas make their living by fishing or farming.

The Exumas boast a rich indigenous wildlife. We will explore various cays and the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, a 176-square-mile natural reserve, home to brilliant coral reefs, exotic marine life and the rare Bahamian iguana, which can grow to over two feet long. On Major's Spot Cay live the famous Swimming Pigs. It’s uncertain how this friendly community of pigs got there, but when we arrive, they will swim out to us, hoping to be fed.
